ORDERING PROCESS

We love the romantic notion that the stationery we carefully print, one piece at a time, may be used to convey a note to a friend or loved one and keep the tradition of written correspondence alive a little longer.  All of our designs are customized to print in the ink color(s) and typefaces of your choice. The design is done digitally and the proofing process is done via email, so we can work with clients near and far.  The steps for placing your order for custom cards are as follows:

1) SELECT A DESIGN.

Browse through the cards in our collection and note the design that you prefer.

2) CUSTOMIZE THE DETAILS.

Please refer to our color and type options to note the ink color and typeface you would like on your cards.  We understand it is often difficult to visualize these, so we invite you to select two type options or two ink color options to try out.  If you are choosing a design with images, please request our image catalog and we can work with you to select the graphic motifs that will compliment your design.

3) SELECT PAPER SHADE.

We print our cards on heavyweight 179lb stock from Cranes as we find this to be the nicest paper available to write on.  It is available in a soft Pearl white or a bright Fluorescent white.

4) TALK TO US.

Contact us with your design preferences as well as the overall quantity.  We will then send you an invoice for a 50% deposit to begin designing your custom stationery.

4) PLACE YOUR ORDER.

Please send us your design details along with your text for the cards and your return address for the envelopes and we’ll begin the process by emailing you your designs to review.  You will note any changes to make and we would revise accordingly.  We will do up to two rounds of revisions to finalize your note cards.  Designs are emailed to you as pdf files to make the proofing process easy.

5) APPROVAL.

After you triple check the details and sign-off on your design, we will order the plates and jump back to the 19th Century to print your invitations on our antique presses.  The balance will be due on your order and we will ship you your custom stationery in our deluxe gift boxes.
