Our top priority has always been to print beautiful letterpress stationery for our clients. It is equally important to us to provide excellent service to everyone we work with. We want our customers to really enjoy the process of ordering custom stationery so it is an honor to receive this Couples' Choice award from Wedding Wire. We appreciate all of the people who have trusted us to print invitations for their special day and we look forward to collaborating with new couples this year!
We are so excited to see one of our favorite couple's wedding featured on Carats and Cake site this week! Claire and Tom were a dream to collaborate with! Their save the date announcements featured a cow letterpress printed in a pale tint of soft blue, a nod to the wedding venue, Blue Hill at Stone Barns. They chose a soft sage colored floral design for their invitations to match the gorgeous flowers that would surround them on their wedding day. We worked closely with them for a year and it is great to see the pictures of this special couple on their wedding day!
Thank you Victoria Magazine for including our Butterfly greeting cards in the July/August issue!
What a great issue to read in the backyard on a Summer Day. Our cards are available on our website shop here: shop
Thank you New York Magazine Weddings for including our wedding invitation in the Spring/Summer invitation feature "9 Wedding Invitations With a Touch of Wild"!
Karen from Smashing the Glass featured the gorgeous wedding of Natalie & Alex recently. We worked with them on their wedding invitations and just loved the whole suite! Its so nice to get a glimpse of the wedding, after working with a couple and we were so excited to see some of their beautiful photos. It was such a romantic wedding, and the bride and groom looked so wonderfully happy!
We love when our invitations appear in magazines. It allows us to see all the other details about the wedding we were working on. We recently printed items for a lovely bride and groom and we adored the colors they chose for their invitations: matte gold and green.
It was even nicer to see the other details from their big day in the photographs in the magazine. We made some bespoke coasters for the couple which were included in their gorgeous goodie bags:
And we had the opportunity to swoon over Meaghan's beautiful dress and the stunning ceremony venue:
Congratulations Meaghan and Conrad!
Just when it feels like we've emerged from the holiday rush, we have another nice little burst of busy-ness in early January! All of a sudden, it's time to start thinking of the year ahead and - more specifically - a pretty new calendar! Our 2014 calendar has been flying off the shelves and we are delighted! Our customers love the small scale of it, the bright colors and the pretty, seasonal illustrations.
We've had quite a few online mentions from some of our favorite blogs and we would love to share some of our favorites with you:
Sorry we've been off the radar a little lately. We've had some exciting press in the New York Times and it's brought in lots of lovely orders in time for the holidays. The New York Times featured our spectacle notecards in their gift guide: you can read all about it here.
And in case you want a peek at the notecards in question, here's they are, complete with a gorgeous coral-red envelope liner.
Sometimes we are asked to do some printing for clients who have quite a high profile. We never get too star-struck but at the same time, it's lovely to see our designs and printing featured online and in print. We recently bought ourselves a copy of Martha Stewart Weddings so we could take a look through their coverage of the wedding of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. We printed the letterpress borders which surrounded their silhouettes on the opening page of the article.
We also printed cards for guests to fill in with messages for the happy couple!
We really love being featured in any Martha Stewart magazine or website. We are over the moon to have our stationery included in a photo story about Justine and Eamonn's wedding. They are a really glamorous couple (just check out her stunning Jenny Packham wedding dress - swoon!). So we wanted to work with them to design an invitation and stationery suite that would reflect the vibe of their summertime New York wedding.
We especially love the bespoke coat of arms that features on the invitation! It was designed especially to reflect the couple...

We are so pleased to be featured in a Japanese book all about neighorhoods in Brooklyn:
We love the vintage-style map on the front of the book. And we like all the photos of Sesame included inside...
Our friends at ANIMAL made a lovely video all about Sesame Letterpress and our machines. We wanted to share it with you here:
Our spooky Bags of Mystery have been featured on the lovely Discover Paper blog. They posted a round-up of 13 awesome Halloween paper goods and we're thrilled to be mentioned! Here's the full list - we're number 9...
Sesame Letterpress have been featured in Charlotte Rivers' new book, "I Heart Stationery". We're thrilled to be included alongside lots of other artists and designers who we really adore. We rushed out to buy a copy of the book hot off the presses (so to speak) and we wanted to share a few photos:
We love the pattern printed on the front and end papers of the book...isn't it pretty?
And here are a few pictures of the pages about Sesame Letterpress:
Our friends over at Felt and Wire just did a really nice post on silhouettes in graphic design. I love Roberto de Vicq’s book covers for author Chris Cleave and it was an honor to be included in the same post.
One of our bespoke, monogrammed coasters has been featured in Martha Stewart Real Weddings! A great complement to any formal dining experience or a reception bar.
Our friend Charlotte Rivers has published some wonderful books on design, type and printing. Her blog, Lottie Loves, is one of my favorites (and one of the few blogs that I read daily). I was honored when she asked me to do a piece for her Creative Loves feature as I find it fascinating to learn about other artists' businesses, inspirations and creative processes. It was fun for me to take a break from my daily emailing and designing to answer her questions and reflect on how our business started and how far we have come.
