A belated congratulations to Carys and David for their wedding last month! They were married at Cedar Lakes Estate, an upscale summer camp, in upstate New York. The venue used to be a summer camp, so a wedding there includes the full camp experience with cabins, games by the lake, meals in a dining hall and a treehouse - what fun! Their invitations were based on our Hudson design, printed in navy and gold ink with fall themed imagery. We created a custom monogram using an apple illustration, which was printed on thank you cards and the weekend guide. One of our favorite pieces was the custom coaster, with an illustration and recipe of their signature cocktail, Winnie’s Bootlegger.
We work closely with all of our wedding clients to design invitations that will capture the spirit of their wedding day. We talk about style, color, type and imagery. We work on the stationery months before the event and because we are not "day-of" vendors, we're not present to see everything come together. It's such a treat for us when couples reach out after the dust settles to share photos with us. Here are some pictures of a wedding at the lovely Hayfield in the Catskill mountains.
We love this shot of these letterpressed menus at the table settings in this upscale barn. The dark blue ink color is a lovely complement to the gold and white accents, and clean wooden table.

We love working with calligraphy artists to finalize our letterpress wedding suites. These escort cards and menus were both beautifully written by Brooke McDonald of Inky Fingers Calligraphy. She is an NYC local who does custom calligraphy for invitations, envelopes and day of stationery, like these red rose escort cards. We love the combination of the impression of letterpress printing with the sharp lines of a pen. Check our her website to see more of her gorgeous work!
Congratulations to Sarah & Adam on their wedding in NYC this past weekend! We’ve collaborated with them over the past few months to create their a suite of wedding cards based on our Cities design. We began with a Save the Date card, featuring a tinted image of a vintage NYC map in the background, and used this map on envelope liners for the invitations and thank you notes as well. All of their pieces (including table numbers, escort cards, programs and menus!) were printed in Navy ink and were inspired by New York’s iconic landmarks.
Congratulations to Lorien & John for their wedding across the pond this week! This lovely couple chose to use our Pictorial design with imagery to match their wedding at a beautiful country home. The soft blue-green and gray colors of this design have us dreaming of the English countryside in the spring.
Our Roses design translates well to any number of pieces of stationery, like this wedding program. The script font, paired with these beautiful flowers is formal and romantic. A wedding program is a great keepsake, and the perfect way to guide your guests through the ins and outs of your ceremony.
We printed these beautiful pieces for a wedding reception in the Catskills. They match our Blossoms design with the sweet floral wreaths on the place cards and table numbers. Robyn Wylde, a calligrapher that we often work with did a wonderful job lettering the names and numbers onto these pieces. We love the continuity of these cards that match the invitations at a reception.
We used our Roses design for these gorgeous invitations for a wedding at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. The all script design in Bickham looks romantic with the subtle rose floral design. One of our favorite cards to design are schedule cards because they always utilize fun icons for the planned events. They're a great addition to a wedding welcome bag. Our congratulations go out to Beth and Ray!
Sometimes the "Day-of" stationery gets lost in the shuffle with wedding planning but a full suite of menus, programs and welcome cards is a great way to carry the style of the invitations through to the actual wedding day celebration.
Congratulations Anneke and Patrick on the wedding this weekend! We don't get enough opportunities to print jellyfish on wedding stationery! Destination wedding like this Jamaican celebration are especially fun to work on! We started with our Pictorial design and customized this with the images of coral, jellyfish, starfish and the octopus. The ink colors here are coral and navy and we've added a bright tissue envelope liner for an extra jolt of color.
We love designing wedding itineraries like this playful one for James and Shequana's destination wedding in the Bahamas. They wanted to give their guests an easy to read schedule for the wedding day events. Its a fun extra piece to include in a welcome bag, and is a great reminder of the itinerary. The palm design from the letterpress wedding invitations was added to this card for continuity.
Congratulations to Carla and Joseph for their recent wedding! Their nuptials were a couple of weeks ago in sunny Florida. The emerald green palm tree is stunning (and fitting) above the formal black script. A family member drew a beautiful and fun illustrated map as part of the information card, showing all the important places for the weekend and welcoming their guests to Tampa. We lined the envelopes in a beautiful emerald green, to match the palm tree. Its a gorgeous set of letterpress invitations that we truly enjoyed creating.
We love seeing the photos from our clients' weddings! We feel really invested in these events after collaborating with couples for many months and it is really rewarding to see the beautiful shots from the wedding day. Here's a photo of the table settings with our letterpress coasters at the Wölffer Estate Vineyards last weekend. Thanks for sharing this with us Tara and Adam!
We shared a sneak peek of this design earlier, but wanted to congratulate Tara & Adam on their recent wedding! Here are some more detail shots of the beautiful invitation set for their Hamptons Vineyard nuptials. We love the illustrated grapevine, paired with a fun script for their names. This was such a fun project for us because we got to work on so many different pieces, like a custom map of the Hamptons, a fun itinerary card, favor tags, and even coasters!
The custom map is a really sweet addition, highlighting the locations for the Welcome Drinks, Wedding and Sunday Brunch, as well as Sag Harbor Bay, Bridgehampton and East Hampton.
We printed these cute little favor tags for the mini bottles of Wolffer Estate wine that the guests would receive. They were tied onto the bottles with this exquisite orange ribbon from Studio Carta. The letterpress coasters were also a customthat highlights the date, along with a memorable toast. These were such a nice treat to take home from the weekend!
Congratulations to Jill and Joe on their wedding last weekend at Linden Terrace at Fort Tryon Park, here in New York City!
We’ve had the pleasure of working with these guys over the course of a year to design and letterpress print their save the date announcements, invitation suites and the day-of menus. They selected our Hudson design and personalized it with nature inspired imagery and mixing in a warm brown kraft paper.
Jill and Joe's save the dates were simple and modern, with the paper choice adding a nice warmth. The rich, black ink on brown kraft paper truly shows off the details of our letterpress printing.
The information card and welcome party card in their set both featured different natural elements. The information card on kraft paper has some beautiful illustrations of greenery, while the welcome party is topped with a vintage, flying bird. These seem to be the perfect elements for a wedding in the lush Fort Tryon Park!
One thing that everyone looks forward to at a wedding is the delicious dinner that's being prepared for them. As stationers, we really appreciate all the extra handmade touches on the day of the wedding, so we love when we get to design and print dinner menus. Sometimes, the best part of the process is drooling over all the courses that will be served!
We often print table numbers and escort cards, as well. It's a fun way to pull an design element from your invitations or an illustration that reflects your venue.
What better place to get married in New York City, than in beautiful Central Park? We love that Christina and Jeremy chose this iconic New York landmark for their big day. They had a semi-formal affair, so they picked our Hanging Lanterns design for their letterpress invitations and reception stationery. Although the design is highlighted by an ornamental border and a flourished script font, they kept it simple by printing in one color: sea blue ink, which looks striking on bright white paper.
Along with their invitations, we designed and printed menus and programs for their reception. We also did a nice card with a thank you note and some details about the events of the day.
The bride had the idea to print a little "Advice for the Newlyweds" card to hand out at the reception. We thought that was a sweet touch, and a fun thing to do while resting your feet after dancing. Adding unique things to your wedding suite makes your event more memorable for all.
We have more inspiration for NYC weddings today! We can't say enough about how fun it was to work on this set of stationery for a recent New York City wedding. The letterpress Save the Date postcard and invitation suite were lovely, but the accompanying pieces have been even more fun to print. This couple thought of everything, from unique welcome gifts with printed tags, to information about the venue (NYC's Housing Works) to our favorite, a mini guide to NYC amenities for the out of town guests staying in Tribeca.
This pocket sized book directs people to everything they may need - coffee, wine, nail and hair salons, transportation and more. It is such a sweet little gift for guests who have traveled to celebrate for the weekend.
Once a couple have received their printed invitations, it's often time to start thinking about reception stationery. It's really nice for us to continue working with clients on their wedding programs, escort cards, menus and other pieces. We can draw out themes from the invitation to use across these items.
Our Under the Sea design with its vivid octopus motif works really well on these menus, table cards and escort cards:
We like how the wave illustration adds a slightly different look to the set.
At the other end of the spectrum, our subtle Pale Florals set allows for some really pretty additional pieces that feature blind embossing on the menu and escort card envelope:
Thinking about your reception stationery alongside your invitations is a great way to create a unified look across your whole wedding: from the anticipation of the event to the big day itself!
