Here’s a super special invitation post because it features our dear friends Abby and Sam! They were married on Saturday at the Green Building in Brooklyn. It was a pleasure to design and print these invitations and a joy to celebrate with them last weekend! Their invitations, which were a spin on our Modern Love design, feature a New York City skyline silhouette image. All of the cards are printed in slate blue and black ink on warm white paper.
We want to wish Lisa and Jason an big congratulations for their recent wedding! We are in love with their invitation set. We printed bookmarks for their save the dates, with a tinted embossed map of NYC, and a heart to mark the spot of their wedding venue. They chose a dark marsala red for the text which fits the season! Their invitations continued with the heart theme, and included a tinted Empire State Building in the background. It's such a pretty set, and we're very happy to have helped them on the road to their NYC wedding!
We love these big apple themed invitations we printed for a wedding here in New York City! This couple really embraced all things New York for their fall wedding. Different landmarks of NYC topped all of the cards in a letterpress printed tint. The subtle silhouettes of the Statue of Liberty, a taxi and the Brooklyn Bridge added a modern touch. We also designed a red belly band with a really cute monogram, featuring their initials in script and an apple silhouette in the middle.
Emily and Julian are New York City residents, and held their wedding here this summer. They wanted their wedding invitations to pay homage to one of New York's most iconic landmarks, the Chrysler Building. We kept the design simple and printed it in one color, a charcoal gray, for a classic look, just like the Chrysler Building.
This art deco inspired skyscraper is truly a work of art, and looks just right on the top of this invitation. The gray letterpress printing shows off all the beautiful details of the building.
We've printed a few London weddings featuring tinted letterpressed illustrations related to the British capital. So we thought we would add a new design that incorporates the New York skyline for all the Manhattan weddings we work on!
This design uses a really clear, sans serif font which perfectly complements the graphic silhouette of the NY skyline:
The use of a very pale tinted ink on the motif really intensifies the letterpress effect and makes the image appear almost like a shadow. The result is an invitation that is both classy and understated.
