We can't believe it, but its almost that time of year again! We're gearing up for the holidays already and are ready to print your custom letterpress cards for Christmas and the New Year. We have a beautiful line of folded cards that you can customize with a personal greeting. Email us at email@example.com to see the full line and place your order.
Here's a whole slew of custom letterpress notecards we've printed recently. All this stationery is making us want to sit down and pen some nice notes. Each of these notecards features a couple names or initials and some illustration that complements them. The New York themed notecards are especially fun, since they feature landmarks of our fair city.
These lovely note cards were letterpress printed in slate blue and paired with bright pink lined envelopes. The arrow detail on top of the names is simple, but sweet. Note cards like these are perfect for sending thank yous, after your engagement party, bridal shower or wedding.
Classic letterpress printed note cards make great, custom wedding gifts. There's nothing nicer than receiving a handwritten note in the mail from after attending a wedding. Check out the Social Stationery section of our website for different designs for your next order.
We've added a new New York City invitation to our wedding collection. This set pulls elements from vintage maps, iconic landmarks and every day life in the city. This design proves that even pigeons can be sweet when letterpressed in gold ink. We think the combination of elements, in classic black and gold ink, makes a really lovely NYC themed invitation suite!
Love the design, but live in another city? We can customized these invitations for your location, too. If you're interested, email us the details and we'll find iconic images that reflect your city.
We print many custom stationery sets during the holiday. They make wonderful gifts, perfect for sending out thank you notes, post-holiday. Here are a few we particularly enjoyed designing and printing in 2014.
These notecards feature an assortment of blues and grays, perfectly matching the cloudy January sky.
Initials always look great in letterpress, whether they are small and sleek or larger and more decorative. Adding an image is a great idea, especially if it's as cute as this carefree rabbit taking a leap over such a fancy monogram.
This invitation suite is one of our favorite styles as it incorporates a rustic theme with an elegant design, befitting a wedding. All the pieces are printed in a charcoal gray which gives the set a formal appearance.
The pine cones on the information card accentuated the rural nature of their winter wedding. The bride and groom wanted their wedding suite to reflect their bucolic venue. The Cork Factory Hotel is in historic downtown Lancaster, PA in a building that once housed a cork and glass company.
We can just imagine relaxing cozily by a fire, in between the ceremony and the reception, with a hot toddy in hand. What a wonderful way to spend a December weekend!
This fall we designed and printed a beautiful set of art nouveau inspired wedding invitations for a couple in southern California. They started things off sweet with a bookmark sized Save the Date, printed in a warm gold and green combination.
The invitation features a delicate border of dark green vines that accent the fine lines in the type. A wreath-decorated home was the perfect image for their intimate reception.
The gold ribbon woven through the wreath is a sweet, little detail that makes this response card stand out. The simplicity of this letterpress wedding suite is what makes it such a nice sight. It's all in the details!
It's hard to believe but the holidays are just around the corner! It seems like just yesterday we were brainstorming the perfect Halloween costume (do we go pop culture phenomenon or classically creepy this year?). But before we know it, the dishes from Thanksgiving feasts will be piling up in the sink. One of our favorite traditions of the holiday season is the exchange of cards and letters. The process of creating a custom holiday card involves equal parts work and fun. It may all begin on the computer but always ends up in the hands of our printers who expertly cut the paper to size, mix beautiful ink colors and print each layer.
Don't you love this card's classic color scheme and imagery? You can almost smell the pine needles in the air. This design is part of our 2014 custom holiday collection, available now. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for a quote.
We printed a selection of social stationery for a newly-married couple. The clients selected a few different designs and cardstocks. To add another layer of customization, they selected a beautiful printed paper from Paper Source and we used it to line their envelopes.
This is a great option to add individuality to your stationery. It adds some lovely visual appeal as the recipient opens the envelope and also complements the ink used for the letterpress printing.
This set of invitations is a customized version of one of our collection designs. We love how it looks in shades of navy and paler blue. This wedding took place on the coast of Maine so the waves, whales and seabirds are perfect illustrations.
We love all the pieces reference each other in terms of color, font and motifs but they equally stand alone as beautiful printed items.
We made the RSVP envelopes even more special by incorporating some sweet little bird illustrations around the address.
Overall, we adore this design: look out for it added to our collection! And don't forget that you can complement your custom printing with items from our retail line. Our wave coasters make perfect favors and the whale or wave gift tags could be used as escort cards!
Most of our printing is custom: our clients love having personalized items with their name/monogram or other individual details included. And for an additional bespoke element, how about choosing your own paper to line envelopes? You can go for something simple in a single color or choose a really unique fine paper with a pattern or design. We love how the ink color used on this thank you card is picked up in the verdant lining paper used for the envelopes:
Every so often, we print stationery for ourselves. Whether it's a new set of Sesame Letterpress business cards or notecards with our name at the top, it's always a treat to experiment with some of the layouts and fonts that we regularly work with. Breck was in need of a new set of social stationery so she designed a really lovely, elegant layout:
These are printed in our saturated black ink, using Carolyna font. We love how these have a really strong look while also featuring a few little flourishes and embellishments. So simple and so perfect. Here's a close up of the printing:
We posted a few months ago about a Save the Date that we printed for a Kiawah Island wedding. It featured the beautiful calligraphy of Betsy Dunlap. Well, here's a sneak peak at a part of the invitation design:
As you can see, there's more of that gorgeous calligraphy. We're most excited about the custom envelope liners that we printed! We love how guests will open the envelope flap and see the alligator printed onto that vibrant purple-y blue!
Custom envelope liners are a great way to make your invitation stand out. We can print a monogram, a pattern or the motif of your choice.
We are working with a delightful couple at the moment to design their wedding invitations. A few months ago, they approached us to work on Save the Date cards and so it's lovely to be following the progress of their wedding plans. The bride had a nice clear idea about the design she was looking for: something informal yet elegant.
The colors pop and we like how the champagne bottle motif anticipates a really fun wedding! We also customized the design a little more by adding Sabrina and Nick's initials and wedding date to the champagne bottle label!
We often hear from clients that they would love to buy bespoke stationery for a friend or family member but the recipient is a little - shall we say - specific about the type of design they like.
Well, we like to play the role of problem solvers so we have designed and printed these beautiful luxury gift certificates that will solve the present-giving dilemma for even the most picky of your loved ones.
That's right; we'll fill in the details and beautifully wrap the card with twine and our pretty 'writer' gift tag.
And voila, you're all set for another holiday season!
You can purchase a set value gift certificate directly from our online shop ($150 covers the cost of a gorgeous set of 50 bespoke notecards and matching blank envelopes). If you would like to buy a gift certificate for a custom amount, please get in touch!
It must seem like all of the birth announcements that we print are for twins! We recently worked with a lovely client, Emily, who had given birth to twins during the summer. We printed the prettiest birth announcements for her:
The matte gold looks really smart whilst those two pairs of footprints just melt our hearts. These are the real twins' footprints: it must have been a slightly messy endeavor!
Here's a close-up of the cuteness:
The letterpress technique is perfect for this: it presses into the paperstock and really captures the idea of a tiny footstep! Emily is going to frame one of these for the wall of the nursery!
Bespoke coasters are a great idea for wedding favors. But if you are a little short on time or if there is a design that you already love from our line, why not just customize them a little with your own tag and packaging. Over the summer, a few of our clients purchased coasters from our existing designs and then made them their own...here's one of our favorites...
Elana chose our floral coasters for her wedding.
We love how Elana chose a simple twine with flecks of gold and then further customized each pile of coasters with hand-calligraphed name tags in gold.
Here's another shot which shows how the colors and gold accents were picked up throughout the wedding design.
Congratulations Elana! Thanks so much for choosing our floral coasters to go with your wedding theme!
As well as designing our own range of wedding invitations, we also really enjoy working with artists to help print their own designs. A little while ago, we heard from designer, Justin Fines. He had created a beautiful design for invitations for his upcoming wedding and he asked us to print them. We took a look and immediately swooned over his arts and crafts style invitation and RSVP. His designs were just right for the location of his wedding; The Prospect Park Boathouse!
Here's a close up to show the intricacy of the design. All of the detail was perfect for letterpress:
Thanks to Melissa who sent us these gorgeous photos of the stationery we printed for her wedding. We especially like the personalized belly band around the invitations.
