Congrats to a lovely couple, Nicole & John, who were married in Greece this weekend! Their invitations featured olive branches fit for a destination wedding on the Greek seaside. The cards were all printed in dark gray and gold ink, on warm white paper. For a bit of contrast, we used pewter gray envelopes with an olive branch adorning the flap. The thank you cards fit the theme, with olive branches bordering the card and their name in a beautiful script on top.
We have added a new design to our family of wedding invitations! Inspired by the Jazz Age, this set looks just right printed in gold ink, with Art Deco details looking just right on warm white paper.
Congrats to Stephanie & Stefan for their wedding in Brooklyn this week! They were married at Liberty Warehouse, which has views of the iconic Statue of Liberty, which inspired their invitation design. They chose our Vintage NYC template and we created a monogram using the Statue of Liberty, to be used on the invite and thank you notes. A vintage map of Brooklyn lined the envelope for a deluxe look.
Congrats to Courtney and Nicholas for their wedding this weekend! They our Vintage NYC design for their lovely city wedding, featuring some city icons and a vintage map for the envelope liner. Black and gold ink were the perfect combination for a black tie wedding.
Its not often that we get to work with a couple having two weddings. Elettra and Kenneth were lucky enough to have nuptial events in New York City and at a family home in northern Italy. They highlighted each invitation with a nod to an essential landmark - the Chrysler Building for the NYC event, and a mountain range for the Italian. We created a custom map for each event as well, which was a fun project to tackle.
Here is a nice detail shot of our Roses wedding invitation design, printed in a pale tint and matte gold ink. The line work of the rose illustration is still clear, even in a subtle color. We love this warm color combination and it works for weddings at any time of the year.
Congratulations to Jen and John, who were married this past weekend! We really enjoyed working with them on their simply classic wedding invitations. They loved the idea of a coaster save the date, and so did we! It's such an unexpected format that guests love to receive in the mail. We used a vintage map of Long Island as the front in gold, with the text on the back in navy ink. Their invites reflected that same classic feeling on warm white paper.
The winter blues are real, so we're thinking of sunny days in Mexico to pass the time. Last year, we designed these invitations for a lovely couple having a destination wedding. They wanted to incorporate the symbol of a zia sun into the design, as well as a nod to the beach with a wave illustration. We created a custom monogram featuring the sun and their initials. We letterpress printed the suite in gold and a subtle tint, including a custom envelope liner. Overall, it had an elegant, but laid back vibe, much like a destination wedding in Mexico!
Here are some great detail shots of a wedding suite we designed for an upcoming wedding here in New York City. The bride and groom loved our Pale Floral set and Vintage NYC set, so we merged the two for a bespoke letterpress suite. The rose illustration looks wonderful and soft when printed in just a tint of gray ink. The text is all printed in matte gold ink and we think the combination is both classic and modern.
We worked with a lovely couple last year to create letterpress invitations for their wedding at the Lyndhurst Estate in Tarrytown, New York. They were drawn to a couple of our wedding designs (Hudson and Vintage NYC), so we combined elements from both to come up with a unique set of invitations. We used a vintage image of the estate on the top of the navy and gold card. The set has a very regal feeling, fitting their beautiful venue.
We printed these beautiful letterpress invitations for a New York City engagement party. The Chrysler Building was the perfect image to pair with the couple's initials, for a classic monogram. The cards were printed in gold and gray, which is a great combination on soft white paper. Included with the invitation was a card to honor family members who had passed, but were important figures in the bride and groom's lives. We thought this was such a thoughtful gesture.
For the response card, the couple opted for a postcard. To go along with the vintage feeling of the invites, we designed a classic looking stamp for the front, with the silhouette of a pigeon. It wouldn't be a real New York invite without a pigeon or two!
We love these big apple themed invitations we printed for a wedding here in New York City! This couple really embraced all things New York for their fall wedding. Different landmarks of NYC topped all of the cards in a letterpress printed tint. The subtle silhouettes of the Statue of Liberty, a taxi and the Brooklyn Bridge added a modern touch. We also designed a red belly band with a really cute monogram, featuring their initials in script and an apple silhouette in the middle.
Fairly often, we have an engaged couple take a look at our work and fall in love with two wedding suites. In this case, Jenny & Michael picked our Hudson and Vintage NYC designs, and we found a way to merge the two. They loved the modern type choices of one, and the New York city details of another. In the end, the design looked perfect for their NYC wedding - classy, but fun!
These peach and gold letterpress wedding invitations were based on our Vintage Dot suite, an Art Deco style. Printing this bright color combination was a treat. The peach ink lent a modern touch to a somewhat formal design. Overall, the style was perfect for this Spring New York City wedding at The Bowery Hotel.
It's always fun to add sweet touches like this dotted heart to a card. We like to make each card unique, but use similar elements so that the wedding suite is cohesive.
We love these invitations that we printed for another designer for a wedding in Florida. They have just the right amount of formality and fun, with a unique color combination. The sea glass blue paper with gold ink is such an unexpected choice, but feels perfectly Miami.
We recently designed a letterpress wedding suite for a couple getting married in Southern California. They had a beautiful color theme of dusty rose with gold accents, and loved the vintage heart locket illustration in our collection. A custom script monogram sets off their simply classic wedding invitations.
We've got bees on the brain! We printed these lovely little bees in black on mini manila tags. They were wrapped up with black and white baker's twine around gifts of honey. A nice extra touch to an already thoughtful gift.
These bee coasters are part of our Butterflies & Bug coaster sets, available on our site. They're such a bright sunny color, you can't help but smile when you see them. The Bee Thank You card is part of our Gray Gardens Card Set, also available online. It comes with 7 other nature inspired letterpress cards, all printed in neon colors.
This custom bee stationery is very sweet, and no image could be more fitting for the name! The little bee looks great printed in red ink.
We have a line of letterpress bookmarks based on antique personal objects, like a pair of scissors, perfume bottle or glove. We love using these bookmarks and they make really cute gifts for any bookworm. Typically we print them in bright, cheery colors, but we recently did some gold versions for The Metropolitan Museum of Art, here in New York.
We have these bookmarks die cut into the shape of the antique object first, and then we print them one by one on our Golding Jobber in a beautiful, copper gold ink.
These gold bookmarks are sold exclusively at the Metropolitan, although you can find the original, brightly colored ones on our online shop. If you are a bride or groom with a passion for reading, consider using these as favors for your wedding!
This letterpress wedding suite was custom designed for a couple getting married on Staten Island. Black and matte gold ink is one of our favorite and most popular combinations, and it looks beautiful printed on their set. A gold envelope liner adds a little luxury to the whole design. The vintage illustration of the Staten Island Ferry printed on top of the invite is a fun element, too!
Our pale floral wedding invitation is one of our favorite designs as it is simple in color and yet has an intricate embossed background. To print this, we use a clear ink with just a speck of pigment to bring out the depth. Each time we print this design for a couple, we marvel at the result.
