Congratulations Christa and Brett! We loved working with this couple on a beautiful set that combined our Hudson design with some subtle cherry blossom imagery. Their save the date featured a tinted vintage map of New York, which looks classic with black text.
We loved working on these invitations for Elaine and Euan for their destination wedding in Scotland last year. They wanted invitations that were modern, yet formal and our Hudson design fit the bill. For a more personal touch, we added an image of the castle they were married in to the top of the invite, and a floral image that they supplied to the information card. The whole set was letterpress printed in charcoal gray and bright red ink on warm white paper.
Fun fact: Wedding Breakfast is a term used by our friends across the pond in the UK. Traditionally, the bride and groom are fasting prior to the prior to their wedding, and would thus be breaking their fast at the reception.
We always love mixing the formal and the fun in our designs, as is the case with these letterpress wedding invitations. The type is classic and clean, printed in a rich black - beautiful on its own, but throw in a little fluorescent green and the whole design changes. A lovely, vintage floral illustration with an acid green accent tops the card. Can't decide on a formal or modern invitation? This design is the best of both worlds!
Okay, this post is largely an excuse to share an irresistible picture of two goats. It is also an opportunity to share with you a beautiful new website Hudsonmadeny.com featuring artisan-made products from the New York area. There are gorgeous items such as copper flasks, flame-blackened ladles, our letterpress tags, cards and books and black soap made from the milk of the adorable pasture-raised Nubian goats pictured above.
With the holiday season approaching, this is a great site to check out and a nice way to support people who make things with their hands.
