Chatham, Cape Cod Wedding

Congratulations to Amy & Jimmy on their Cape Cod wedding! The Cape has a special place in our hearts, so we always love designing invitations for weddings here. Allison & Jimmy chose our Hudson design, which we printed in a slate and navy blue combination. They requested an event card, to illustrate their weekend of events, complete with a Karaoke After-Party! Each event was detailed with a vintage illustration.

We also printed their Save the Date cards prior to the invitations. We printed a tinted embossed map of Cape Cod in the background, with navy ink on top. We never tire of printing these map cards!

Nautical Nantucket Wedding

Congrats to Meg & Michael on their wedding this weekend in Nantucket! For their formal affair, they chose a classic design in navy ink, with elements perfect for a Cape Cod wedding - waves and a vintage map of the island. We printed a full suite for them, including Save the Date cards, a weekend itinerary, Rehearsal Dinner invites and a menu for the day of.

Jamaican Wedding Suite

Congratulations Anneke and Patrick on the wedding this weekend! We don't get enough opportunities to print jellyfish on wedding stationery! Destination wedding like this Jamaican celebration are especially fun to work on! We started with our Pictorial design and customized this with the images of coral, jellyfish, starfish and the octopus. The ink colors here are coral and navy and we've added a bright tissue envelope liner for an extra jolt of color.

Letterpress Printing in Shades of Blue Ink

Nothing compares to New England in the summertime! Salty air, swimming in the ocean, boats, etc... It’s my favorite place to be this season and I love when we use this inspiration to design stationery for couples getting married along the coast.

We’re sticking with the seaside stationery theme this month and wanted to share some of our favorite nautical save the date announcements from years past.

Destination Wedding in Mexico

The winter blues are real, so we're thinking of sunny days in Mexico to pass the time. Last year, we designed these invitations for a lovely couple having a destination wedding. They wanted to incorporate the symbol of a zia sun into the design, as well as a nod to the beach with a wave illustration. We created a custom monogram featuring the sun and their initials. We letterpress printed the suite in gold and a subtle tint, including a custom envelope liner. Overall, it had an elegant, but laid back vibe, much like a destination wedding in Mexico!

Coastal wedding Save the Dates

We are big fans of nautical and maritime imagery and it features on so many of our printed items. From our octopus coasters to our deluxe anchor notecard sets, we love finding ways to reference the sea in our work. So obviously, we adore working with couples to incorporate their vision of the coast into their printed stationery. We've recently worked with two lovely couples on their Save the Date cards.

Meaghan and Andre fell for our ship in a bottle illustration and it just looks so pretty at the top of their card:

We're always happy to include a small motif above the return address on the envelope too. Continuing the seaside theme, Meaghan and Andre opted for a little clam shell:

We love how this Save the Date looks and we can't wait to share photos of their actual wedding invitations!

Erin and Owen also used a dark blue ink for their design (does anything signify the ocean more than a nice, rich, saturated blue?). But they decided to create a truly bespoke card with hand drawn illustrations and handwritten lettering. They also included pops of vivid red:

The little seagull perched on the map in the lower left corner just makes us feel so happy! Here's a close up of part of the map to show the intricacy of the illustrations and the letterpress impression:

We're so excited to hear all about both of these weddings!
