We recently had the pleasure of letterpress printing wedding invitations for Joana & Jacob, a couple getting married in Portugal. They brought the inspiration of beautiful, blue and white tile work that is traditional in Portuguese architecture. We loved the idea of hinting at that in the background of the invitation, so we printed a tile design in a pale blue, behind the bright blue text. The result is very beautiful, and one of our favorite designs from our summer wedding projects.
Several months ago, we designed and printed some circus inspired Save the Dates for a birthday party at the American Museum of Natural History. We also worked on the invitations for the party, albeit with a slightly different theme. The inspiration was Out of Africa, a romantic film starring Meryl Streep, set in Kenya. Illustrations of lush foliage, letterpress printed in rich black ink, framed the card. The edges were painted in silver foil, giving the whole set a luxe feel, fitting of a black tie event.
We recently printed some letterpress greeting cards for one of our favorite companies, Warby Parker. We love their eyeglasses and sunglasses, so we were excited to collaborate with them on some note cards for their new Brooklyn location. Each set has 4 different designs, which feature really cute illustrations of New Yorkers with great eyewear by Joana Avillez. They're a really lovely set for anyone who enjoys sending and receiving snail mail.
Fairly often, we have an engaged couple take a look at our work and fall in love with two wedding suites. In this case, Jenny & Michael picked our Hudson and Vintage NYC designs, and we found a way to merge the two. They loved the modern type choices of one, and the New York city details of another. In the end, the design looked perfect for their NYC wedding - classy, but fun!
We designed this sweet bridal shower invitation for a bride on the sunny West Coast. We love printing in bright and happy colors, especially neon pink. A bright pink invitation like this sets the mood for a really fun shower. And doesn't that calla lily look feminine and beautiful?
These peach and gold letterpress wedding invitations were based on our Vintage Dot suite, an Art Deco style. Printing this bright color combination was a treat. The peach ink lent a modern touch to a somewhat formal design. Overall, the style was perfect for this Spring New York City wedding at The Bowery Hotel.
It's always fun to add sweet touches like this dotted heart to a card. We like to make each card unique, but use similar elements so that the wedding suite is cohesive.
This navy blue Save the Date was printed for a couple getting married on a farm in New Hampshire. What's more lovely than spending summer weekend on a farm? The cow illustration fits the theme of the wedding perfectly.
It's almost that time of year to thank your dad for all he has done for you! Let him know that he rules the roost with one of red rooster father's day cards. We love this letterpress card featuring the proud bird, showing off his black and red feathers. Order one from our site now, so you have plenty of time to craft the perfect message.
If you're looking for a special gift for your dad, check out Hudson Made for some great grooming products. They have presents for the bearded or clean shaven dad, like their Cedar Clove Beard & Shave Soap. Your father's face will never feel more pampered.
We love working with small, local businesses, especially ones that share a love of the handmade. We printed these letterpress cards for Brooklyn Herborium, a shop started by two Brooklyn moms who wanted to create a line of skincare products that were healthy and environmentally friendly. Their design is simple and sweet, with a great floral and herb illustration.
We are in love with Save the Dates that double as bookmarks. Not only are they a unique design, but they're useful, too! If you're planning on a more formal invitation, the Save the Date is a great opportunity to have a little fun. Show off your personality with brighter colors, or a fun image that reflects the feeling of the venue.
We love these bookmark Save the Dates for a summertime wedding in Maine. The bright red and navy blue along with the vintage ship illustration ink feel perfectly nautical. The rope knot on the bottom is such a sweet detail, too.

Flowers are always perfect gift, and so are our floral coasters. You can find a variety of these, as well as letterpress printed cards Mother's Day cards in our online shop. We can gift wrap anything and ship directly to your mom.
We designed and printed these Save the Dates for a birthday party at the American Museum of Natural History, here in NYC. The design was inspired by vintage circus posters, complete with a banner carrying elephant. The elephant was letterpress printed in silver, and has a bit of shine that plays well with the bright red of the text. We can just imagine how fun a night at the museum would be - hopefully without any dinosaurs or elephants springing to life.
We always love mixing the formal and the fun in our designs, as is the case with these letterpress wedding invitations. The type is classic and clean, printed in a rich black - beautiful on its own, but throw in a little fluorescent green and the whole design changes. A lovely, vintage floral illustration with an acid green accent tops the card. Can't decide on a formal or modern invitation? This design is the best of both worlds!
We love these invitations that we printed for another designer for a wedding in Florida. They have just the right amount of formality and fun, with a unique color combination. The sea glass blue paper with gold ink is such an unexpected choice, but feels perfectly Miami.
We printed these custom letterpress coasters for women's wear designer, Logan Holland recently. They have a simple, but striking logo that looks wonderful printed in rich, black ink. Coasters are always fun to print because they show off the beauty of letterpress, by taking a good deal of impression.
We enjoy working with small, local businesses in NYC and Brooklyn, especially when they are in an industry that is as hands-on as ours!
We recently designed a letterpress wedding suite for a couple getting married in Southern California. They had a beautiful color theme of dusty rose with gold accents, and loved the vintage heart locket illustration in our collection. A custom script monogram sets off their simply classic wedding invitations.
We've got bees on the brain! We printed these lovely little bees in black on mini manila tags. They were wrapped up with black and white baker's twine around gifts of honey. A nice extra touch to an already thoughtful gift.
These bee coasters are part of our Butterflies & Bug coaster sets, available on our site. They're such a bright sunny color, you can't help but smile when you see them. The Bee Thank You card is part of our Gray Gardens Card Set, also available online. It comes with 7 other nature inspired letterpress cards, all printed in neon colors.
This custom bee stationery is very sweet, and no image could be more fitting for the name! The little bee looks great printed in red ink.
We're finally starting to see little signs of Spring everywhere, and that has us seeing green. We have a lot of green on our online shop, like these letterpress clover and beetle greeting cards and new clover coasters. A beetle is only this cute when its printed on a card in neon green, and not scurrying around your home!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! While we love sending and receiving Christmas cards, it's always fun to randomly get a card for another holiday. This St. Patrick's Day postcard is destined for some mailboxes this March, which will be a fun surprise. It is letterpress printed in cheerful, kelly green with a gaelic phrase on the front.
After the wedding, once you've returned from your honeymoon sun-kissed and relaxed, there's still one thing left to do for your wedding - send out thank you notes! There's nothing nicer than receiving a handwritten thank you note, especially when it's on custom, letterpress stationery. You can include your monogram, new last name or an image that relates to your invitations, like this New York City note card.
Get started on those thank you notes right away and work on them little by little. Thank anyone who attended or sent a gift, exceptional vendors and most importantly, whoever hosted your wedding. They have been with you through thick and thin, while planning this event - let them know how much you appreciate their help.
