Bicycle Wedding Invitation Suite

Jana invitation

Finally, here are some photos of the wedding invitations that we designed and printed for my own wedding! It's always difficult to come up with a design and motif that feels like it completely sums up the couple, but for us, it was a little more straightforward: as we were planning our wedding, we were also planning a cross-country bike tour! So we knew we wanted to incorporate some bike illustrations on our stationery. You can find out more about our bike tour at www.honkforfreedom.com. Meanwhile, take a look through the photos of our invitation suite:

All about RSVPs

January 22, 2013

When it comes to the RSVP for your wedding stationery, there are plenty of options. We are going to address these through a series of posts.First of all, the most simple option is to use a blank card which just requests that your guests respond by a certain date. This is a lovely way to encourage people to write you a personal message.

RSVP - blank

We love the color choice on the invitation above and the way in which the text is a little slanted and seems to run off the card slightly.

However, this style relies on the idea that your event is completely self-explanatory and all you need to know is who is coming. If you are having a few different events, or if you need to know menu choices in advance, you'll probably need a more in-depth RSVP.

Thanks to Melissa who sent us these gorgeous photos of the stationery we printed for her wedding. We especially like the personalized belly band around the invitations.

We just printed a suite of gorgeous wedding stationery for Corina and Jose. We love how the quite luxuriant gold edging is offset by the classy black script. Add in some subtle New York illustrations and it's a recipe for a beautiful invitation!

Save the Date Inspiration, Part 3

October 15, 2012

Many of our clients choose to send a Save the Date which is formatted like a postcard. These are great because they often do not require an envelope (you can write the recipients' address directly onto the card) and they can be printed on two sides. The Save the Date is often the perfect opportunity to come up with a design that highlights the location of the wedding - an exciting teaser for your guests! Here are a few examples that we particularly like:

Save the Date Inspiration, Part 1

October 4, 2012

We love working with couples to design their Save the Dates. It's so much fun at the very start of the stationery-planning process to discuss colors, designs and formats. Over the past few years, we have printed a whole bunch of Save the Date coasters and we wanted to share some of these with you. We like the functional nature of these items; any leftovers are a lovely keepsake for the married couple to use after the wedding! Here's a classic design with a fun twist: as a Brit, I love the cursive "Cheers!"

If you're going to use a coaster as a Save the Date, why not include a recipe for your favorite mixed drink:

We really like the silhouette of the couple in the coasters below - and these could be customized in any colors:

I'm a big fan of a pop of bright green, so the simple design below immediately caught my eye:

And finally, my personal favorite...I love cycling around the city so anything with a bicycle theme appeals to me!

The beautiful Style Me Pretty website recently featured a wedding of one of our favorite clients. The bride has an amazing fox ring and wanted to incorporate some minimal fox imagery in the stationery.  We customized our Broadside invitation to include a sweet little animal.  Check out her gorgeous veil in the photos on the site!

Peony Wedding Program

We've been printing many menus and programs for our wedding clients this month.  One of the prettiest ones we've worked on is this set of reception stationery featuring a peony image.  We worked with the couple to customize the Magnolia wedding invitation design from our website.  In place of the blue magnolia blossom, they selected a vintage peony illustration to print in a pale tangerine color. The accompanying cards in the suite had larger details of the floral image.  We continued the look for the programs and escort cards shown here.
