We often collaborate with couples to design invitation suites for destination weddings. One of the fun challenges is to develop a design that complements the setting of the wedding but also maintains the style of the couple. For this Jamaican invitation suite, we worked with a selection of vintage palm tree images and printed everything in a rich blue ink. The darker ink and one color printing give the set a sophisticated look, which was fitting for the stylish (and really sweet) couple.

We designed and printed this Octopus design for a couple last year and loved the charming way the creature framed the formal wedding text. It is the kind of unexpected and elegant look we absolutely love. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to revisit this design again but incorporate new imagery and colors. Here are some pictures that the couple's photographer, Carmen Santorelli, was generous to share with us.

We love painted edges on invitation stationery. It's such an elegant way to add a subtle pop of color. Here is a stack of invitations and response cards with lilac painted edges. It is almost a shame to have to separate the the stacks to mail out.

After a busy Spring with invitation printing, the Stationery Show and general studio printing, we are finally catching our breath and working on the website and blog again.Our friend Denise Fasanello does the most beautiful floral displays I have ever seen. She has been designing a series of modern table settings for Brooklyn Bride. We were excited to have our new imprintable stationery featured in the Modern Beach Theme shoot along with our anchor coasters.

We're in the midst of designing and printing invitations for Summer 2011 weddings.  It is refreshing to ink up the presses in cheerful colors and think about bright flowers, lush trees and outdoor celebrations!  One of our favorite details on an invitation is an unexpected pop of color painted on the edge of a card.  Here is a detail of a set of pink edged cards.  It almost seems a shame to have to separate the stacks to send these out!

Our elegant Modern Garden invitation design gave guests a hint of the beautiful setting of the Atlanta Botanical Gardens for Katie and Matt's wedding. The invitation printed in sage set the tone for a beautiful Spring event.
