Our heartfelt congratulation to Anna And Said, who were married in NYC this weekend! They were a pleasure to work with, and chose a classic and romantic design for the save the date cards, and wedding invitation sets. You can’t go wrong with rich, black ink on warm white paper.
Congrats to Caitlin to Teddy on their wedding in charming Chatham, Massachusetts this weekend! We have a love for Cape Cod, so this seaside wedding seems like a dream. They chose our Maritime design, complete with flying seagulls and a vintage map envelope liner. Their invitations were printed in navy and slate blue ink on warm white paper, and feel perfectly suited to a Cape Cod wedding.
Here’s a super special invitation post because it features our dear friends Abby and Sam! They were married on Saturday at the Green Building in Brooklyn. It was a pleasure to design and print these invitations and a joy to celebrate with them last weekend! Their invitations, which were a spin on our Modern Love design, feature a New York City skyline silhouette image. All of the cards are printed in slate blue and black ink on warm white paper.
Congratulations to Emily & Mike for their wedding this weekend! Basilica Hudson is such a cool venue, and we love designing invitations for weddings there. We used our Downtown design, and customized it, with the addition of an image of the Basilica Hudson building in a tinted embossed ink. The save the date card was printed with a brick wall pattern, to play on the structure of the building. Holding the cards together was a custom website tag, printed with the same brick pattern. The whole design was enveloped in a lined gray envelope featuring a vintage map of the Hudson Valley and upstate New York.
Congratulations to Susie and Rich for their New Jersey shore wedding this month! This design was based on our Timeless template, with the addition of a sweet, dotted border and a custom envelope liner featuring a vintage map of the New Jersey shore. All the pieces of this set, including the personalized thank you cards, were printed in a deep blue on warm white paper.
We’ve added a couple new botanical greeting cards to our retail line this fall. I’m hoping that having these ferns and roses cards around the studio will remind us of summer gardens as the cooler season sets in. These are available for sale in our online shop: www.sesameletterpress.com/shop-all
Here is a peek at the process of printing our Fern cards. We use plastic polymer plates on our press, which you can see below as the green run of this design. Every card goes through the press, one at a time, for each different ink run. This card actually has 3 colors (dark green, black and pale coral), which is a lot of printing!
We want to wish congratulations to Brooke & Warren for their wedding in the Hamptons this weekend! We are in love with these invitations! The tinted embossed chamomile bunch on the invite is soft and delicate, in contrast to the black and forest green ink. It feels perfect for a wedding reception at Fairview Farm.
Congrats to Cara and Andrew on their wedding in Staten Island! They liked our Pale Florals design, but wanted to add a touch of color to accent the suite. We printed the invitations with a tinted embossed floral border and charcoal ink. The reception card and envelope liner were printed in a pretty lavender that gives the flower illustrations a bit more definition and a lot of charm. The envelope liner features a custom monogram for another personal touch.
