Black Tie Wedding in Blue at the Museum of Natural History

September 21, 2016

Kate & Michael were great to work with on their modern black tie wedding invitations. Their wedding reception was held at the Museum of Natural History in NYC, so they wanted to add a touch of fun that related to the venue, hence the dinosaur and elephant. Our Hudson template was a great design to start with, as it is a mix of classic and modern. We updated it with some bright colors in green and blue ink, with green edge painting on the invitation card.

The letterpress envelope liner for this set is so unique! Kate & Michael wanted to reference the planetarium at the museum, so we printed a vintage illustration of mapped out constellations. It's such a fun surprise when guests open these invitations.

Elegant Monogram in Navy Blue

September 19, 2016

Here's a little look at the process of printing one of letterpress invitation sets for a black tie wedding in Poughkeepsie, New York. Martha & Michael loved the formal look of our Elegant Monogram design and kept it classic with navy blue ink. Lucky for us, their initials looked great together in a monogram.

The champagne glasses were the perfect touch to their reception card. We imagine they will enjoy lots of toasts and cheers on their wedding day.

Big Red Apple NYC Wedding

September 6, 2016

We love these big apple themed invitations we printed for a wedding here in New York City! This couple really embraced all things New York for their fall wedding. Different landmarks of NYC topped all of the cards in a letterpress printed tint. The subtle silhouettes of the Statue of Liberty, a taxi and the Brooklyn Bridge added a modern touch. We also designed a red belly band with a really cute monogram, featuring their initials in script and an apple silhouette in the middle.

Destination Wedding in Portugal

August 15, 2016

We recently had the pleasure of letterpress printing wedding invitations for Joana & Jacob, a couple getting married in Portugal. They brought the inspiration of beautiful, blue and white tile work that is traditional in Portuguese architecture. We loved the idea of hinting at that in the background of the invitation, so we printed a tile design in a pale blue, behind the bright blue text. The result is very beautiful, and one of our favorite designs from our summer wedding projects.

A Birthday to Go Down in History - Part Two

August 8, 2016

Several months ago, we designed and printed some circus inspired Save the Dates for a birthday party at the American Museum of Natural History. We also worked on the invitations for the party, albeit with a slightly different theme. The inspiration was Out of Africa, a romantic film starring Meryl Streep, set in Kenya. Illustrations of lush foliage, letterpress printed in rich black ink, framed the card. The edges were painted in silver foil, giving the whole set a luxe feel, fitting of a black tie event.

Warby Parker

August 2, 2016

We recently printed some letterpress greeting cards for one of our favorite companies, Warby Parker. We love their eyeglasses and sunglasses, so we were excited to collaborate with them on some note cards for their new Brooklyn location. Each set has 4 different designs, which feature really cute illustrations of New Yorkers with great eyewear by Joana Avillez. They're a really lovely set for anyone who enjoys sending and receiving snail mail.

NYC Wedding

June 22, 2016

Fairly often, we have an engaged couple take a look at our work and fall in love with two wedding suites. In this case, Jenny & Michael picked our Hudson and Vintage NYC designs, and we found a way to merge the two. They loved the modern type choices of one, and the New York city details of another. In the end, the design looked perfect for their NYC wedding - classy, but fun!

Showered with Love & Flowers

June 20, 2016

We designed this sweet bridal shower invitation for a bride on the sunny West Coast. We love printing in bright and happy colors, especially neon pink. A bright pink invitation like this sets the mood for a really fun shower. And doesn't that calla lily look feminine and beautiful?
