Holiday Printing

October 11, 2011

It seems crazy to even mention the upcoming holiday season after a beautiful weekend in New York, but here goes... We have been printing our holidays cards (when not outside enjoying the unseasonably warm weather) and are happy to announce that these are now available through our online store. We have boxed cards with pretty colored envelopes and also new enclosure cards with little mini envelopes. We've come up with a design for city dwellers, woodland animal fans, poinsettia enthusiasts, candy lovers and those with traditional holiday tastes. We hope there is something for everyone. If there is anything we've missed, please let us know as we're always looking for new holiday ideas!

Our friend Charlotte Rivers has published some wonderful books on design, type and printing. Her blog, Lottie Loves, is one of my favorites (and one of the few blogs that I read daily). I was honored when she asked me to do a piece for her Creative Loves feature as I find it fascinating to learn about other artists' businesses, inspirations and creative processes. It was fun for me to take a break from my daily emailing and designing to answer her questions and reflect on how our business started and how far we have come. To read this and check out Charlotte's great blog, please visit Lottie Loves

Modern Beach Inspired Wedding

July 13, 2011

After a busy Spring with invitation printing, the Stationery Show and general studio printing, we are finally catching our breath and working on the website and blog again. Our friend Denise Fasanello does the most beautiful floral displays I have ever seen. She has been designing a series of modern table settings for Brooklyn Bride. We were excited to have our new imprintable stationery featured in the Modern Beach Theme shoot along with our anchor coasters.

We just wrapped up the National Stationery Show in NYC at the Javits Center. It was our first time flying solo (we had a rep the previous 5+ years) with our own booth... it was great to finally meet all the great people who have been purchasing our cards and stationery around the world! Here is a nice shot from the lovely blog OH SO BEAUTIFUL PAPER from the show. (click over to her blog for more shots of our booth and the other thousands of exhibitors).

Pink Painted Edges

We're in the midst of designing and printing invitations for Summer 2011 weddings.  It is refreshing to ink up the presses in cheerful colors and think about bright flowers, lush trees and outdoor celebrations!  One of our favorite details on an invitation is an unexpected pop of color painted on the edge of a card.  Here is a detail of a set of pink edged cards.  It almost seems a shame to have to separate the stacks to send these out!
