We've been posting a few teasers of components of this set but now we are excited to reveal the full suite of items. We love how this couple has allowed Betsy Dunlap's stunning calligraphy to really take front and center attention. The whole invitation just feels like a beautiful illustration and is extremely elegant.

The rich indigo blue also helps to make this design pop.

And we've already waxed lyrical about the bespoke envelope liner that features an imprint of a crocodile!

We are totally obsessed with all things letterpress (obviously!). We adore the delicate, beautifully detailed, elegant invitations and stationery pieces that we print, one-by-one, by hand, in our studio. So isn't it an amazing juxtaposition to see the rough tools used to produce this work? We are constantly grateful for our big, cumbersome, yet perfectly calibrated presses.Here are a few pics that are a little different from our usual product shots:

Remember the beautiful Save the Date we printed that featured a ship in a bottle? Well, we recently finished printing the actual wedding invitation and other items. The bride and groom chose to continue with a nautical theme and selected a few more illustrations for their stationery.

Anyone who is familiar with our products will know that we have a soft spot for that whale illustration. And here, it just adds a touch of whimsy to the wedding invitation. We like the interplay between the border and the rest of the card too.

We love how all the pieces look piled up in the photo above. The nautical knot is another of our favorite motifs.

Sometimes a design for a business card lands on our desk and we just think "Yahoo!" These cards for Kirby and Kraut are no exception.

I don't even know where to start. We love the font used for the business name: it has a subtle vintage, handwritten feel while still looking really elegant. It reminds us of the kind of typeface Wes Anderson might choose for one of his movies!

And then there's the cabbage illustration printed in a bright lime green. We adore it. The whole card works perfectly and really benefits from the simplicity of the information provided.

Kirby & Kraut makes kitchen tools for home fermentation and preservation. Their website is dedicated to providing recipes and resources for food enthusiasts interested in preparing pickles, preserves and fermented foods at home. The business is based in Sunnyside, Queens NY and all the products are made in America.

The contrast of deep navy on crisp white cardstock never fails to set our hearts aflutter. It's a classic look that allows the quality of the design and letterpress impression come to the forefront.

This set perfectly illustrates what we mean. It features a single ink color, simple border and repeated monogram and the overall effect is gorgeous.

A personalized monogram is a lovely way to bring some individuality to your invitation set. And you can then repeat the monogram on materials that we print for the ceremony and reception (such as programs, menus etc!)

Every so often, we print stationery for ourselves. Whether it's a new set of Sesame Letterpress business cards or notecards with our name at the top, it's always a treat to experiment with some of the layouts and fonts that we regularly work with.Breck was in need of a new set of social stationery so she designed a really lovely, elegant layout:

These are printed in our saturated black ink, using Carolyna font. We love how these have a really strong look while also featuring a few little flourishes and embellishments. So simple and so perfect. Here's a close up of the printing:

We worked with a really lovely couple on their Save the Date Cards. So when the time came for them to print their wedding invitations, we were excited to be involved again. Richie and Vilmarie are getting married in the Dominican Republic and Richie designed these gorgeous invitations, which feature a map of the island.

We love how the design creates so many shades and hues, even though it is only printed in one color. The bride and groom actually stamped the little coral hearts onto the pieces, by hand, after they had been printed.

We worked with a great designer (and soon-to-be-groom) to print his dream Save the Date coasters. These played on the idea of 'tying the knot' with a range of layouts of knotted rope.

The reverse of the coaster featured a simple mention of the date and location of the wedding and a custom monogram featuring the initials of the grooms:

The cleverest element of this design was the way in which the coasters can be overlapped to create a single, unified image. Here's a diagram to show how it works:
